Daniel R. Snyder was elected to city council in 2016. Raised on a farm near Canton, OH, he moved to
Eloy from a suburb of Philadelphia, PA in 2010.
He is a registered Professional Engineer and has his own consulting
business in Eloy, Bearings and Lubes Consulting LLC.
He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BME) from
the Georgia Institute of Technology under the co-op program. He has also completed courses in accounting
and marketing at the University of Akron and business at the University of
Pennsylvania Wharton School. His career
includes over 40 years in the bearing industry having worked for the Timken
Company in Canton, OH and SKF USA Inc. in Lansdale, PA from where he retired in
2009 as Director of Engineering. He has traveled extensively internationally
as part of his bearing career. He now
provides bearing training, failure analysis and engineering expertise through
his consulting business.
He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers,
Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers, Georgia Tech Alumni
Association and the Eloy Chamber of Commerce.
He has and continues to serve on advisory committees for both U.S. and
international bearing standards. He
enjoys playing golf and attending baseball games.
