Support Services and Criminal Investigations Division
The Support Services Division is responsible for the overall administrative functions of the Police Department and the Criminal Investigative Division. Examples include, but are not limited to: Communications Investigation Division Computer and Telephone Operations Fiscal Planning and Management Policy and Procedures Purchasing Training Crime Prevention Public Relations Programs Fleet Management
Criminal Investigation Division (CID)
The CID Division is responsible for conducting in-depth investigations of all major crimes, such as murder, robbery, rape, burglary, and serious assaults. They also conduct follow-up investigations of crimes initially investigated by the Patrol Division determined on a case-by-case basis.
Investigations consists of 3 general investigation detectives, 1 sex crimes/special victim detective, and 1 identification / evidence technician. There are also detectives assigned to the Pinal County Narcotics Task Force and Arizona Department of Public Safety GIITEM.
